Charcoal 101 - Begins Feb 17th (Mondays 4:30-6pm, 4 weeks)
In this beginner charcoal class, students will learn the basics of charcoal drawing and explore how to create realistic, 3D images of any object. Through various techniques, they'll discover how to use charcoal's unique versatility to capture a wide range of tones, from soft sketches to bold, deep blacks. Whether drawing portraits, still lifes, or landscapes, charcoal provides endless creative possibilities. This class will help students build the skills needed to bring their artistic vision to life with depth and detail. Geared to ages 12-16.

Preetha has been teaching students drawing and charcoal techniques for over 4 years. She currently has her work, charcoal & acrylic, displayed at Whitespace Gallery in Hackettstown.
